WE ARE WATER – by Clara Federica Crescini
Clara Federica Crescini: choreography, dance, movement research and costume, developed with Alessandra Sparano: dance and movement research, Samaquias Lorta: music and live performance, Filippo Michelangelo Ceredi: visual research and performance, Emilia Patrignani: early costume development
Water is the element that unites the life of the earth’s ecosystems and of which the majority of the cells in our bodies are composed. The focus on the relationship with water in choreographic research is geared towards reconnecting with the ancestral and essential quality of this element in the present of human life and in the necessary search for new forms of coexistence with other living beings. The physical basis of the research starts from the specific anatomy of the fascia organ and the associated movement practice is conducted according to the principles of ecosomatics. From the practice, the development into a choreography as an immersive experience in which soundscape, space and movement evoke the pervasiveness and power of water. The project aims to interrogate the connection with the environment that surrounds us and to suggest a substantial interdependence with it.

I am, at heart, a story collector. I create both live performances and video compilations that include dance, poetry and sound as a way of gathering from the chaos of memories, stories and the extraordinary of everyday life. I like to explore what can be understood, what is often misunderstood, and how image and gesture fill in the blanks. I believe that the purpose of life is to discover the story that only you can tell. We are all in the process of becoming, and my work is both a personal exploration and a tribute to my fellow travelers and collectors on life’s journey.
my inbetween (extracts) – by Elisa Siegmund
old certainties, habits & securitiesnew values, norms & parametersIn being an artist under these conditions… with ice skates and ice, I examine emotional imbalances in a gliding play with gravitational forces. The climate-induced loss of ice drove me to a plastic “alternative”: an irritating situation; an apparent inability to act. In extracts of an autobiographical solo, I discuss obstacles and possibilities. The familiar disappears underfoot and shared scenes inspire an exchange about security and balance in situations of upheaval.
