On Display
The aim of the ON DISPLAY residency is to give selected choreographers the opportunity to create a high-quality video documentation of a finished dance work. This documentation is intended to support the artist in sharing their work as well as provide them with strong application material for further grants and performance opportunities. The choreographer is supported throughout the filming and editing process by a professional team and can use the high-quality video and lighting equipment available at LAKE Studios. Each residency runs 4 weeks; 2 weeks for preparations, a filming week, and a final week for editing and post production.
We offer selected projects a monthly fee enabling the choreographer/director to devote themselves fully to the process. Fees for collaborators/performers (dancer, musician, light designer, etc) are also available on a weekly basis. In addition, we can offer a private room in LAKE Studios’ residency apartment for the entire working period. Please note that this residency is only for artists based within Germany.

The first ON DISPLAY residency program in January – March 2022 supported four projects and was made possible by funding from NPN – Stepping Out. Selected Artists were: Jessy Layne Tuddenham, Iria Arenas, Claire Vivianne Sobbotke, and Shai Faran
The second round of ON DISPLAY residency program took place November- December 2022. Selected Artists were: Juni Chung, Alexandra Llorens, Gry Tingskog, and Omer Keinan
