TAMÁS-ANDREA-KATA

Tamás Barkó (H) born blind. Since my youth I have been involved in various artistic forms. Since 2003 I have been an active performer in the Tánceánia Ensemble (H). -The complex program of the company has artistic, therapeutic as well as social and political interests. It provides an artistic realm where people living with and without disabilities can work together as equal creative partners with complete competency.Since 2005 I have been a member of the ArtMan Association for the Arts and Movement Therapy. In 2009 I graduated from the University of Debrecen, School of Humanities, Faculty of English. In addition to art, I consider inclusion, building the relationship between the disabled and the able-bodied, important. For eight years I worked as co-teacher at the Faculty of Special Education at ELTE- Bárczi Gusztáv. Since 2013 I have been the foreign language guide of the Invisible Exhibition. Since 2019 I lead inclusive groups for the Artman Association, “One Day FUNDAY” as co-teachers.

Andrea Mészöly (H). I started to work in dance during my studies at the Secondary School of Fine Arts. Later I studied at the Budapest Dance Academy and then in Amsterdam on a scholarship at the School for New Dance Development. In 1993 I started my dance theatre career as a founding member of the company DekaDance. From 1998 to 2008, I produced solo performances as a member of the L1 Association. I am interested in theatrical forms that seek to explore personal and social issues. In 2011 I joined the ArtMan Association for the Arts and Movement Therapy and produced my first play with mixed ability performers. In 2015 I graduated from the Faculty of Special Education at ELTE- Bárczi Gusztáv, specialising in somatopedagogy. My background in movement is based on contemporary dance and improvisation and the Body-Mind Centering® body awareness method. I use the formal language of dance and theater to think about projects that involve working with mixed ability performers. In addition to my creative work, as an art teacher, I lead inclusive groups for the Artman Association, “One Day FUNDAY” and the Artmenők programme.

Kata Kovács (HU/DE). I’m a sound artist and interdisciplinary performer, living in Berlin since 2011. With a background in dance and performance (graduated in the Budapest Contemporary Dance School in 2007), I’ve taught contact improvisation and movement improvisation in Budapest and in Berlin. In recent years my interest turned towards sound, the movement of sound in space, and works exploring contemplation. I am active in several ensembles, creating experimental sound and music (VROUW!, KvT), multidisciplinary performances (FAKE Company) and a long-term collaboration with artist Tom O’Doherty creating installations working with sound, movement, layering and repetition.
