This summer, SUBMERGE returns for Volume Six, hosting workshops for professional dancers, young adults and children, and presenting performances for all!
This year, LAKE is delighted to expand the festival program with two exciting additions. YOUTH LABS will offer workshops and performances geared towards children, teenagers and all the young at heart. And our very popular all stylez dance battle will return with the LAKE BLIND DATE BATTLE V.2.
In addition, we will host weekend events such as a HEAR & NOW* Play session-meets-JAZZBETWEEN, a space for dancers and musicians to move, play and improvise together. There will also be daily morning meditations for quiet reflection amongst all the festival activity.
Also new this year, rather than all performances taking place at the end of the workshops, as has been tradition, some will occur in the middle of the workshop week. This allows participants to engage with the studied performance work both before and after it is formally presented.
