WE CREATE A PLATFORM THAT TURNS THE FRAGILITY OF DISTANCE INTO A POWERFUL SYMBOL OF RESISTANCE AND CONNECTIONS. A MOVEMENT OF SENDING, RECEIVING. PLACING YOUR HEART AND LEAVING IT. HOW DO BODIES NAVIGATE DISTANCE WHILE STILL FIGHTING TOGETHER? ARE WE BLUSHING? LET US SPEAK, WITHOUT EVER LEAVING IT
The project to soak weapons is a continuous exploration of distance, friendship and resistance with letters as companions. With a letter in one hand we are researching performative practices of sending, receiving, transforming words into shared experiences over and over again.
We are meeting in the middle of the distance which usually separates us and will use this residency to build bridges, lines and tunnels as intimate connections or tools for fighting together.
