Cilai Herrmann – this is not an accident
In the residency I was working on a short version of my work in progress solo this is not an accident, which is working on water justice and gender fluidity and how both my body and the body of the river Rhine have been artificially straightened. The work searches for the river’s queer traces and listens from the lens of hydrofeminism to what gets lost when its bodies of water are formed into borders and movement becomes binary.
But most of the time I got caught up in the studio playing the trumpet and dancing at the same time.
