Zeynep Acim

Born into a family with backgrounds in fine arts, physical education, and music, she developed an early interest in dance, painting, and music. Throughout her school years in Turkey, she actively participated in choirs, folk dance performances, and student clubs, later founding a dance club in high school. She also created acrylic paintings, some of which were featured in the online literature magazine SİS, where she became a member of the editorial team. In addition, she studied piano for six years at Istanbul Technical University.Following her graduation from high school, she was accepted into the Contemporary Dance

Department at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. During her studies, she focused on choreography, improvisation, and contemporary dance theory and writing, developing a strong interest in artistic research and creative processes.Her artistic practice is rooted in the transformative power of movement and creation. Drawing inspiration from personal experience and everyday life, she creates choreographic works that explore human expression through a contemporary perspective.Alongside her artistic practice, she has worked as a dance teacher for children, believing in dance as a space for creativity, confidence, and self-expression. She also founded her own art studio, where she continues to develop creative projects, choreographic works, and educational programs that bring together movement, art, and community.
