Wiam El-Tamami is an Egyptian writer, literary translator, cook, and wanderer. Her writing and translation has been featured in publications such as The Paris Review, Granta, Ploughshares, Freeman’s, AGNI, Literary Hub, and The Common, and she has received grants and prizes for her work. She is also a vegan/vegetarian cook with many years of experience preparing flavorful, creative, and nourishing food in different communities around the world, from retreat centers to permaculture projects, earthquake shelters to refugee camps, in Greece, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, the US, and Mexico.
