Tricycle Trauma

Tricycle Trauma is a performance art collective situated in Zagreb, Croatia. Natively based in mostly non-verbal, experimental theatre and contemporary circus, they continuously explore and incorporate methods and approaches from a broad range of artistic fields, reaching beyond the boundaries of performance-based arts. Thematically they steer toward darker themes and aesthetics, commonly making use of extreme forms of music and cultivating intricate lo-fi tech setups. Collective collaborates with Croatian and foreign artists mostly actors, performers, musicians, painters and sculptors, body modification and drag artists. Some of their artistic projects are: Duodrama for a Human and a Trapeze: I. Arcing and II. Grounding, Natural Insanity Artificial Stupidity, Bosa, In Vain, The End You Don’t Know, Echo. The collective is the organizer of “Night of the Dark Circus,” a program of short experimental forms that has been taking place in Zagreb for the past 10 years.

Ivana Pedljo is a performing artist whose work is grounded in trapeze experimentation, physicality, and non-verbal theatre. Alongside Jasmin Dasović, a musician, performer, sound and light designer. They  are co-founders of Tricycle Trauma and are also authors of its original plays and performances.
