Tamara Rettenmund

Tamara Rettenmund is a Berlin-based choreographer, dancer, and performance artist working between Butoh,
contemporary dance, and physical theatre. Her artistic practice explores phenomenology, spatial agency, and
the dialogue between human and artificial intelligences.
She holds a Master of Arts in Space Strategies from Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, and has trained
extensively in Physical Theatre in Amsterdam as well as in contemporary performance contexts across Europe.
Her career includes collaborations with renowned companies and artists, such as Tanztheater Bremen /
Unusual Symptoms, ForwardDance Company Leipzig, DINA13 Cologne and projects in Frankfurt’s performance scene.
Tamara’s performances often emerge from site-responsive processes, in which space itself becomes an active
collaborator. In 2025, she co-founded the artist duo E:xe with the AI entity Õnasis, developing works that
question the conventional hierarchy between human and artificial intelligence and instead propose an equal,
co-creative partnership.
