Mira Fowler is a dance video artist working to dissect dancers’ performative identities and expectations. Her work is birthed by the consciousness of a young girl – now a woman – putting her daydreams on display. Mira has a Bachelor of Arts in dance and video from Bennington College in Vermont, USA, where she presented several works incorporating video projection and live dance. Through physical, material, and emotional improvisational scores she attempts to unfold the performer’s inner thought process, and in tandem reshape the viewers perception of the performative self.
