Jessy here … I am busy with a practice that mainly revolves around writing — be it experimental short fiction to be read out loud, or trying to compose the perfect joke. Writing forms the basis for a series of anti-passive performance works, where the space between performer and audience is bridged via laughter, guided imagery, and awkward dancing. In 2020, I created the solo Longitudinal at a LAKE Studios’ Reconnect Residency (what is now Made-in-Berlin), and in 2022 I revised said solo during my ON DISPLAY video documentation residency at the LAKE.
