Born in 1961 in Switzerland, I migrated to Australia when 18 years old and dabbled in different dance styles and acro. At 30 I felt too old to start dance professionally. While studying dance therapy in Melbourne, graduating in 2006, that old fire for movement and dance was lit again. In 2013, as a very late bloomer, I returned to Europe to study Dance, Improvisation and Performance at TIP (Schule für Tanz, Improvisation und Performance, Freiburg), followed by the Diploma for Leading Dance for Older People (Green Candle Dance Company, London). Since 2016, I continuously have engaged in professional development in dance with following teachers: Julyen Hamilton, Andrew Morrish, Rosalind Crisp, Tomislav English, Nita Little, Jozef Frucek (current mentorship), Linda Kapanea, Louise LeCavalier, Bruno Caverna, Olive Bieringa, Edivaldo Ernesto, Caroline Bowditch, David Zambrano, amongst many others, finally finding my passion in Improvisation and durational performances, challenging my body and its ability for physical expression and mental stamina. My passion for performance led me to work with the following choreographers: Marina Abramovic, Angie Hiesl, Ted Stoffer, Luc Percival, Alexandra Pirici, Mirjam Gurtner, Elisabeth Schilling, creating my own work and collaborating with other improvisational artists like Helen Davey-Cox. I am currently working on a new piece with community members in a little outback town in Australia.
