Paid Opportunity
8 – 22 November, 2026
@ LAKE Studios Berlin
We are searching for 6 Berlin based movement artists and/or creative technologists with a desire to investigate and research the role of digital media and technology within a performance context. The research is facilitated in a collaborative process with mentors Mark Coniglio, Marlon Barrios Solano, and L Wilson Spiro. We welcome applications from people who have worked with technology & programming in the past, but we’re also open to hearing from artists without that experience who bring strong motivation.
Digital Body is a series of ongoing intensive labs and residencies dedicated to exploring performance and technology. Each lab is designed to break down preconceived notions about technology and art in order to reimagine from the ground up how technological tools might expand the creation, rehearsal and performance of live artworks. Guided by experts in the fields of dance and technology, this lab series is intended to expand both participants’ practical technical skills as well as their theoretical and philosophical grounding in the use of technology in performance. The Digital Body Lab brings together a small group of artists for a two-week residency at LAKE Studios. During this time, they collaborate, explore shared questions, and develop new works-in-progress.
Participants will be staying onsite in double rooms (separate beds) at LAKE Studios in order to facilitate a more intensive process. Some exceptions can be made – please specify in your application if you have any special needs in this regard.
Participants will have access to LAKE Studios entire technical facilities and equipment
