Whiplash Ballad WIP – Nicola Bullock

Whiplash Ballad is a solo dance about losing parts of yourself against your will. Love, devastation, and grief surface through body and voice, shifting unpredictably from one state to another. The performance activates the liminal space between chaos and control, lingering in the question: ‘How do we survive loss?’

“Out of Soil” is a work-in-progress solo piece, part of my ongoing choreographic research “Cancelled Futures,” inspired by indigenous futurism and speculative imagery. It aims to open readings around our relationship to dystopian landscapes and the emotional impact of the climate crisis, taking as a starting point the soil in its material and symbolic dimensions.

good for you is a solo piece by Valentin Alfery that examines and deconstructs unconscious stereotypical behavior patterns through cross-style movement principles from the street and club dance community. Using illusionary techniques, repetition, and the deliberate manipulation of perception, the piece questions how habits shape us and whether we can actively change them.
