SUBMERGE : EMERGE — Opening Celebrations DAY 2
* This event is free, but let us know you are coming by reserving your spot!
23 August 2026, 13:00 – 18:00
~ SUNDAY ~
BRUNCH : 11H
WORKSHOP : 13 – 14H
PUBLIC SPACE : 14 – 18H
DINNER : 19H

On Sunday, the celebrations continue as SUBMERGE EMERGES beyond the studios to activate movement in public and natural spaces.
Join us for an indoor-to-outdoor lab led by the founder of LAKE and SUBMERGE, Marcela Giesche, and long-time Lakie and founding member Kazuma Glen Motomura. We’ll start at LAKE Studios with an introduction and warm-up, and then take the research outside into the streets and natural spaces of Friedrichshagen. Don’t worry 😉 you don’t need to dance the entire time — the idea is to enter a “chill” 💧 performative state and find playful, natural ways of moving through our environment.
We ask all SUBMERGE : EMERGE participants to commit to the full afternoon 13h -18h as it includes a special flash mob by the lake in the end! For those who can stay into the evening, we’ll gather at 19h at LAKE Studios to celebrate and share, including a community dinner (10€ incl. drink) at 19:30h. And if you’d like to join us even earlier, come for Brunch at 11h that same day (10€ incl. drink:).
Participants get a map of special locations around Friedrichshagen and a free SUBMERGE t-shirt. Bring your swim gear, we have a lake ten minutes away, dives are expected!
