Community Workshop + Potluck — Free of Charge 

We live in a time of social and environmental crisis. We are called to make enormous changes in our technologies, our economies, our land use practices and our culture—but to do, most of all we need to change our way of thinking and perceiving, to see ourselves as embedded in nature and interconnected with all living beings.  Author, ecofeminist and permaculture teacher Starhawk draws on a lifetime of experience in earth-based spirituality and in the practical skills and tools of regenerative land management to deepen our connection with the natural world, renew our sense of hope and inspiration, and understand how to generate personal and societal resilience.  Magic has been called “the art of changing consciousness at will”, and we’ll use the tools of ritual song, dance, meditation, and imagery to re-envision our world and empower ourselves to create it.

You are invited to bring a dish to share at a potluck after the workshop.

Starhawk’s BIO

Starhawk is an author, activist, permaculture designer and teacher, and a prominent voice in modern earth-based spirituality and ecofeminism. She is the author or co-author of thirteen books, including The Spiral Dance: A Rebirth of the Ancient Religion of the Great Goddess and the ecotopian novel The Fifth Sacred Thing, and its sequel City of Refuge. Her most recent non-fiction book is The Empowerment Manual: A Guide for Collaborative Groups, on group dynamics, power, conflict and communications. Starhawk founded Earth Activist Training, teaching permaculture design grounded in spirituality and with a focus on activism. She travels internationally, lecturing and teaching on earth-based spirituality, the tools of ritual, and the skills of activism.
