Body Language | Embodied Knowing

16 May 2026, 19:00 20:30

A Dialogue in Motion

15€/10€

Reservation:

Dr. Dagmar Spain presents her many years of research as an interactive dance performance. On this evening, former dance students will confront the influences and effects of their training and trace their roots within the physical, mental, emotional, and social body. What does their bodily experience mean for others who have not had professional dance training?

Dagmar Spain, together with visual storyteller Dr. Maša Hilćišin, facilitate this event with the dancers Maria Banaszak, Louis Flothman, Karolína Grygarová, Raquel Lanziner, Lynne Scharf & Rozálie Starová. In creative collaboration, all artists immerse themselves in questions about what embodied knowledge means and how we can pass it on. How can this knowledge flow into many areas of life, transform them, and promote lifelong learning with and through the body? Non-professionally trained dancers will also participate in this evening. The event will be accompanied by music from violinist Rodolfo Inokawa. It will conclude with a discussion between the audience and the artists.
