We are artists from Northern California who will be working at Lake Studios for our second residency. During our last stay, we filmed footage for what became our first collaborative project, Memory of Salt; A short film accompanied by a live score. This was born of our separate artistic directions and disciplines of the previous few years: Dorian’s, a solo project, Vik Whistle, that had become a new vessel for him to experiment with the vulnerabilities of performing music alone. LOLA’s, a new interest in film and how she could express through it the complexities of time. We continue to be inspired by each other and intend to keep making art together to perform live and to be released through Johnathan Runs Backwards Productions.
