Is Missing
by Yehuda Dromi
In life there are many distinct structures of holding: work, deadlines, meeting with a friend…. and background there is always an abyss, tempting me to come and disappear into it. “Is Missing” explores that abyss—the place where things come apart and break, the bodily dialogue between holding on and slipping away.

encuentro housero
by Anwen Sereina Ortiz aka ANWEN & Maria Jose Ulloa Beteta aka JUANA
The two artists ANWEN and JUANA are united by their search for a physical dialogue between origin and present, between ritualized, communal forms and the individual expressiveness embodied by house dance. While each of them pursue her own cultural starting point, they come together in an exchange about movement, rhythm, and identity. Their common goal is to use the practice of house to find new ways to embody and transform cultural memories and ultimately share them in community.

Before the Stone Speaks (an excerpt)
by Nieya Amezquita
Music by internetjunkhound
For the past year, my research has centered on the psychological effects of self- evaluation. The process of self-improvement is rarely linear. It is cyclical, demanding, and often a necessary odyssey of its own. I have become increasingly interested in the ways we perceive ourselves, the narratives we construct around our identities, and the often difficult process of confronting the parts of ourselves we would rather avoid. This work exists to ask a simple but personal question: what becomes possible when we stop resisting the weight we carry and instead engage with them as sources of wisdom.

A Panela da Minha Mãe (My Mother’s Pot)
by Freitas Nuvunga
A Panela da Minha Mãe (My Mother’s Pot) is a ritualistic solo exploring the female body as a space of resistance and care. Inspired by the artist’s Mozambican mother, the work reflects on women as an often invisible foundation of families and communities. The imagined pot becomes a symbol of the womb, repetition, transformation and resilience, turning everyday gestures and silent forms of resistance into a ritual of recognition and respect.

Somatic Shrines for Crip Times: Act I
by Justus Harris & Derin Cankaya & Madeline Shann (she/her)
Somatic Shrines for Crip Times is an immersive performance and exhibition modeled on the concept of a shrine honoring the lived experience of people with disabilities. The performance consists of offerings energetic and choreographic offerings given to imagined avatars, that have sonic and visual aesthetic, connected to emotions including pleasure, grief, and anger within and outside the context of disability experiences. These performances create a live setting in which performers communicate about their experiences through the conduit of the avatar. The physical movements of each person will reflect their capacities on that particular day, making flexibility an integral aspect of the piece.

Content triggers and Health note:
The performance’s themes include, among other things, descriptions of chronic illnesses and disabilities, and death.
We will offer free FFP2 masks to audience members during our section of the evening as part of our accessibility measures. We ask those who are able to wear one, and who do not have a medical reason preventing them from doing so, to support this aspect of the project.. The project has been developed through access- centered practices rooted in disability experience, including masking and COVID testing. All collaborators live with disability, and several are immunocompromised or living with Long COVID. Masking was required throughout development, and the exhibition and performances are designed to support this access practice as an ongoing, functional measure.
